Getting In Touch - Deep Meaning and Commitment

Its been a while since I have been in touch on this blog since I have been running around like a manic and trying to build some business opportunities. The cool thing about this summer and some of the great break throughs I have had personally is that I am working now well within my means as a human being and operating completely within the confines of my overall unique persona. What I mean by this is that I am operating at a level of high integrity. I say this because one of the key commitments in my book " The Ten Commitments to a Better Life" was to get to know more about yourself and operate within the limits of your own personal integrity.

I have a lot to be thankful for especially now that I no longer " BS" myself. This was one of things I did not like about the other guy. He tended to live within a dream world of what he wanted rather than operating in a world that is complete.

I say this because in order to be complete and totally in integrity you need to operate at a specific level of having truth in everything you do. You cannot get to a high level of integrity if you continue to operate in the " bullshit " zone. This zone is one where you have not made amends to your past. You are still replaying the poor me movie.

The second thing is getting rid of tolerations. Major tolerations that continually take you directions that are not of your choosing. A key one is doing things with or for people you don't want to do only to please them. This happens a lot with high maintenance friends, parents, siblings, clients or other people that take your life as their own. They steal your time, your energy and your emotions.

The third key focus is knowing where you fit it. Knowing what level of skill you have, what you can bring to the party that is meaningful by using and sharing your knowledge. Its no longer about strutting your ego in situations, but making meaningful contributions to helping to make the world a better place.

How you do that is totally up to how you operate. Do you speak truths in a meaningful way? Do you help others willingly? Do you appreciate what you have.

Writing this blog and few others help me to discuss things with myself and I continually grow through this discussion. I really don't care if anyone reads it, however I am always amazed that I am found in the blogosphere and get comments on various things continuously. So I know it works. The universe is listening, listening to everything I say and do. If I give it misguided or the wrong messages I get the results that are intended regardless.

So being in integrity is kind of like riding a bike. Once you get there its easy to say what you mean and say what you want. You then commit to having the life you want. Everyone can receive the gifts they desire.

Once you are in integrity the world finds you. Isn't that funny. "Once you are in integrity the world finds you."

Getting Off the Path -- Stop the Planet I want to Get On

Its been a while since I put anything in this blog. It sort of happened for a number or reasons. First off, I have gotten off the path. What I mean by this is that I have forgotten to get into the world and be a human being and not a human doing.

Human doing is about being on automatic pilot. It is sort of like not be conscious of what is around you and what is going on. Its been about doing things that have not allowed you to relax with the world, so sort of slow the process down, to consider your stress level, your health and your relationships.

Over the winter, life seemed more or less really hectic. Winter was not a hardship. It just seemed that I needed to be somewhere else for a while. After all if you keep up a torrid pace doing things everyday then you are " doing" and "not being".

The sanity that I have is with my lovely little place on the Gatineau river, my amazing wife and our cats. We lost a little girl cat, one that had been with us for 13 years and brought in Simon the wild man. The coolest thing about cats is that they are all pretty much the same as a cat that is, but they all have different personalities.

Simon sort of personifies the relationships in our house. He and Foster and Kathie all get along great. My wife sees amazing things and most of all sees hearts everywhere she goes. She attracts them. Anyway little Simon a kitten of 6 months and a terror has a heart on his back leg. Who knew and it is one of the amazing things that gets me back on the path.

The attraction path of knowing that everything happens just as its supposed to without not a lot pushing and pulling. Attracting what you what is part of the guiding principles in the "The Ten Commitments to a Better Life". Written well before the big attraction phase, I learned early that if you wanted something all you needed to do was ask. You just needed to know what you wanted. Simon sort of happened as an attraction story since we were looking for a loving little cat to take the place of Maddie. We sort of described Simon together and then there he was with a loving heart and his own heart and all.

So I hope to take some time over the next few months to take stock, slow down, smell the flowers and feel the moment. I think that's what we all want. A lot more moments and whole lots less action on the crisis front.

So -- I have to go now, I need to start thinking about something new and getting back on the path.
